Join our team of volunteers to help us care for our cats and kittens. The first step is to watch the video on the left!

Most volunteer opportunities require a commitment of one (1) shift per month for a minimum of six (6) months.  If you prefer flexible hours, we also need help with our Sparkle Squad (see Volunteer website for more information).  Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator if you need to complete service hours for an educational institution or an employer.    

 PLEASE NOTE: Our volunteer shifts are between the hours are 10am to 6pm, Monday through Sunday. We do not have evening volunteer opportunities. 

 At this time, all volunteers must be at least 16 years of age or older. 

 The next step is to sign up for one of our Volunteer and Foster Orientation sessions! Orientations are held twice a month and will give you a chance to learn more about our organization and what volunteer opportunities are available.

A Sampling of our Volunteer Opportunities

  • Our cats depend on volunteers to keep their living quarters clean and provide regular meals. The Cat Care Crew is a team of volunteers who take care of the cats each morning. Volunteers are needed seven days a week.

  • We are looking for someone that can meet and greet our Café visitors, answer the phone, take payments for sessions and purchases, keep our Café clean and stock our coffee, tea, water and snacks. If you enjoy talking with people and interacting with cats and kittens, this volunteer job is purr-fect for you!

  • Cat transport volunteers drive cats to and from veterinary appointments. Spay/neuter appointments are early morning with pickup mid-afternoon. If you like to drive and live on the north/northwest side of town, you may like this volunteer position.

  • These volunteers assist with general clerical duties such as printing, copying, and filing as well as answering the phone, accepting deliveries and other miscellaneous tasks needed that day. If you are organized and have excellent attention to detail, this volunteer opportunity may suit you well.
