Rehoming

The mission of PAL is to save the lives of domestic cats and kittens living on our streets who are not skilled or conditioned to survive the perils faced by street cats. We work with TNR volunteers and cat colony caretakers who bring us cats they have rescued. We do not take in owner surrenders or found cats from the public.

We understand that sometimes unfortunate circumstances arise and you are unable to continue caring for your pet. If you adopted your pet from PAL, call us to discuss the option of returning the pet to us. If you obtained the pet somewhere else and you have decided that rehoming is the best option, we recommend asking friends or family members first. If that fails, consider the resources below.

Las Vegas Rescue List

This is a list of rescue organizations who may be able to help. Please note that we are not directly affiliated with any of the organizations named in the list and we cannot guarantee assistance by any of them.

Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet

Rehome by Adopt-A-Pet is a tool designed through the Petco Foundation to help pets go from their current home directly to their new adopter without ever entering a shelter or ending up in dangerous hands via a classified site. It guides individuals who are rehoming a pet and gets their pet seen by thousands of potential adopters on Adopt-a-Pet.com.

Please visit our Adopt-A-Pet referral page at Rehome by Adopt-A-Pet and they will guide you through the process of finding a new home. We hope your pet gets the happily-ever-after that every pet deserves.

Social Media

Post your pet’s photo and story on your social media pages and ask your friends to share it.

Post to Facebook groups like these for Pet Adoptions and Animal Adoption.

Use the Nextdoor or Neighbors app to post to your nearby neighborhoods.

We do not recommend using classified sites.
